Music Video Idea #2

Music Video

Song: Sh-Boom- The Chords

The Chords were a Doo-Wop group formed in the 50’s. They were a one hit wonder with “Sh-Boom”. Other artist like them were The Crew-Cuts and The Clovers.

This idea is based around an barbershop quartet/group. This idea is performance based. The act are performing and singing to the camera. The location of this sequence could be shot in the studio. The cast would be 4 or 5 guys wearing matching suits who would be acting as the artists. In addition to this where would be a 7 piece band- a drum kit, upright bass, electric guitar. In addition to this there would also be a male and female dancer, dressed up as well.

The barbershop quartet are lip syncing the song for a bit. The camera then shows the band and their instruments. In addition to the singing group and band, there also could be a couple dancing along to which could be edited into the sequence when the instrumental is happening and then once the the voices come back in pans back around to the quartet.

The video fits into the specific track because the performance of the actual song is sung by a vocal group which who will also be performing the song. The star image of this group was they were very pure, clean cut and dressed up. They sang about love and lust and their used their talent to gain fame. To portray this to the audience we will also have the characters costume similar to theirs as well as have them perform the way the group used too.
