Final cast

We quickly got confirmation from Clare and Adam to play Monique (wife) and Frank (husband). It took us a while to find the third character, Andy (husband's associate/friend). Mike didn't work, we asked Greg, he couldn't do it, and Ted couldn't do it as well. We drew a dead line for ourselves that if we couldn't find a third character by a certain date, that we would cut the story down to accommodate two people. On the day of the deadline, we asked Dave and he kindly said yes.

Our final cast is:

Clare as Monique
Adam as Frank
Dave as Andy

Purchasing Props

The props we are looking to buy are a knife and a chopping board, for the woman to stab the knife into the chopping board.

We bought them both of amazon to be delivered to Bwebb.

The total price was £17.34

Divided by 4 it would be about £4-5 each.

Another prop we will need will be food in the kitchen, probably some fruit and some orange juice which we will buy the day before.

Final Idea!

The setting of the sequence is in a house. The characters are and wife and a husband been married for quite a while. There are shots of the bedroom, its untidy, there are clothes scattered around the room. The man wakes up in the bedroom, obviously hungover and very groggy. He gets up puts on some clothes and walks into the kitchen.

In the kitchen, there is his wife standing making breakfast, maybe chopping strawberries or something of that sort. They exchange a few lines of dialogue (see script) and its obvious that the wife is putting on an artificial happiness. There's a knock on the door the husband goes to get the door.

She asks who it is and he says 'postman, i'll get rid of him' and he goes outside and shuts the door. The woman starts to get more angry and more angry and slams the knife she's using into the chopping board.

She listens through the door of the house and it then goes to a shot of outside of the husband and the man talking about an assassins job. The husband is saying that he's too hungover and the man is saying he has to.

From out of no where the woman, shoots the husband dead and says to the man "i'll do it"

We pitched this to Matt and he really liked the idea. He was actually the one to suggest the knife into the chopping board.

Looking for a third actor

Because Mike was in another shoot that day, he wasn't able to do the date we scheduled. We then tried to find other male teachers to see if they would be able to play 'the friend'

Contacting Actors- Adam and Mike

I also emailed, Adam and Mike confirming if Adam would be able to let us film in his house, if Mike and Adam would be able to act in our thriller.

Contacting Actors- Clare

I talked to Clare to try to see if she would be willing to do the thriller. I briefly explained the synopsis to her. She said that she was interested. Today, I sent her an email to her expanding on that she had to do and giving her more details on the shoot.

3. Props

For our sequence the props we will need will be:
  • A small gun for a woman. She will use it in the end of our sequence by killing her husband. We will borrow it from our studio room's equipment.
  • A sharp kitchen knife and chopping board. It will also be used by a woman after her husband leaves the kitchen. She will stab it into the chopping board because of her anger towards her husband.
  • An empty bottle of alcohol. We want to show that the husband returned drunk yesterday night.
Those are the only essential props for our video.
